The Big News!

You may know or have guessed, but YES...we are PREGNANT!  Here is the proof as of now. 

It has 2 blue lines, not one!  Weird!

Baby Lain is due July 2011!  I have been feeling really great, especially in the morning and afternoons and work!  The evening are much worse.  Nothing major like vomiting or crazy cravings/smelling, but much more discomfort and exhaustion at night.  Oh, and I BURP all day long.  Thankfor for the signs, though, that my body is changing. 

We figured out soon that week 11 would be right around Christmas.  So we did it!  We waiting and shocked our family with the news as Iris opened her first gift from us, which was a "big sister" shirt.  Iris knew soon after we did, but the first thing she said was that she would be a sister again...so it quickly sparked some creativity in giving.  Here are some shots of her opening THE gift.

Shawn's family took a little while for it to settle it.  Debbie got it but stayed reserve as the rest filed in behing her.  They are excited!  We plan on calling Shawn's parents PawPaw and Omie D!!! 

My mom immediately screamed "WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?" as she cried and (nearly) fainted!!!  It was well received as well!!!   My mom and dad will be MeeMaw and Big Blue!! 

We also do not plan on finding out the gender.  Sorry for all your planner organizers out there!  We will use a birthing center with a nurse mid-wife and the will let Shawn "catch" the baby and announce the gender.  That is the big plan for revealing if it's a boy or girl.  Names will not be shared either so don't ask!!!! haha.

Since we don't know boy or girl we wanted to give everyone a practical gift for any baby.  So we bought plain white bibs and personalized them with iron on prints.  That was wrapped and given from Baby Lain after everyone got over the shock of Iris being a big sis. 

Whoa.  This is a long post.  It will never happen again...I promise :)  We are excited and nervous and most of all THANKFUL!  We are praying for a healthy pregnancy, delivery, and baby....will you pray with us?
